SERVICE LEARNING PROJECTS
65 young people from Budva, Nikšić and Podgorica were part of the educational trainings in the field of service learning, where they had the opportunity to learn about how this concept can improve their learning process, but also help them develop different skills.
After that, in smaller groups, with the support of mentors, they conducted research on the needs of targeted communities and created service learning projects based on the findings. A total of 14 projects were implemented, tackling different topics, such as:
- Promotion of healthy lifestyles;
- Add more colour to the world, my wonder – positive impact of the living environment on mental health;
- Girls can do anything! – encouraging greater representation of girls in sports;
- Reach the goal easily – strengthening social skills of persons with disabilities;
- Our neighborhood – our responsibility: redecorating the playing field in the Vranići neighborhood;
- Mental health in focus – promotion of mental health through art;
- ForYouth.me – informing young people and developing media literacy through the creation of a blog;
- RAW- Breaking the stereotype of a perfect human body promoted on social networks;
- Legal literacy is harmful – improving legal literacy through the creation of manual;
- Raising awareness on the extent of peer violence;
- Empower – strengthening girls’ sense of security through self-defense classes;
- Yes art, No harm – prevention of peer violence through art;
- Sex-Edu – sexual education of young people;
- An open-air library – encouraging reading through the installation of a mini-library;
The successful implementation of the projects was followed by celebrations within the Festival of Service Learning, during which the results were presented to the wider community and the next steps were announced.
