Change the Rules of the Game
Overall program goal: Effective civil society organisations meaningfully engage with authorities and communities and contribute to the development of societies where rights of young people and their socio-economic development are promoted, and harmful effects of alcohol are minimised.
Specific program outcomes:
- Empower and build capacities of local actors to effectively engage in and cultivate environment in which young people are health literate and resilient to alcohol related harm.
- Civil society actors are influencing policy and decision-making processes related to alcohol.
- Sustainable and capable CSOs, supported by the IOGT-NTO Movement, enable national and community-level efforts on alcohol as an obstacle for development.
It is anticipated that by the end of the program more than 200 CSOs and other community actors will be enabled to merge resources for minimising harmful effects of alcohol. Program will directly affect at least 2.400 young people, reach at least 250.000 citizens, and result in number of recommendations for policy changes and initiatives nationally and regionally.
Implementation period: 01/01/ 2023. – 31/ 12/ 2027.
