PU Organizer of the adult education “Forum MNE”, organized the exam for acquiring the national professional qualification of youth activist on Saturday (29/02/2020). This was also the first opportunity to officially obtain the diploma of the aforementioned profession.
The exam was passed by 13 candidates, who will act in the field of youth work, which is defined in the Article 4 of the Law on Youth, which states: Youth work is an activity implemented in cooperation with young people and for young people, with a view to their independence and transition to the adulthood, learning, personal and social development, in accordance with their needs and opportunities, based on methods of non-formal education.

The education program for professional qualification of youth activists is a contribution in the field of professionalization of youth services and promotion of youth policy in Montenegro. Given that due to the specific nature of the profession, this could not be carried out through the formal education system, the Forum MNE worked for 15 years on differentiating and recognizing this profession, and thus in 2017, the profession of youth activist was adopted.
